春の金平糖の裏話

春の金平糖シリーズを、ウェブショップに掲載しました。

このシリーズを考え始めたきっかけは、
以前から制作している「パステルの森」シリーズでした。

このアクセサリーを見てくださったお客様から、
「可愛いけれど、着けるのには少し勇気がいる」というお声や
「もう少し小ぶりで、普段使いしやすいものも欲しい」
などというお声をいただくことがありました。

確かに、パステルの森はサイズ感も存在感もしっかりあるシリーズです。

（これらのアクセサリーは完売しました。）

そこから、もう少し控えめな可愛さのパステルカラーのアクセサリーについて考え始めました。

作る上で大切にしたのは、
派手すぎないけれど、
ちゃんと Yayoi Yamashita の空気を感じられること。
そして、どこか少しレトロな雰囲気を残すこと。

メインに使ったのは、
砂糖菓子のようなサーモンピンクと、
やわらかな水色の水玉ビンテージビーズ。

この二色を合わせると、
ただ可愛いだけではなく、
どこか上品で優しい空気になる気がしています。

そこに、
少しトーンの違う黄色や水色を重ねながら、
細かな色の差も楽しめるよう組み立てていきました。

実際の制作はかなり細かい作業で、
小さなビーズを金平糖のように編み込み、
ピアスは葉っぱの裏側にも花が見えるよう、
両面から固定しています。

でも、大変さよりも、
出来上がっていく時の
「ぱぁっと春が咲く感じ」に心が躍り
作っている時間そのものが、
とても楽しいシリーズでした。

このアクセサリーは、
特別な日のためというより、
日常の中で気軽に楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいなと思っています。

家の中で過ごす日でも、
ちょっと気分を変えたい時でも
小さな色が身の回りにひとつあるだけで
気持ちが少し明るくなることがあります。

実は私自身も、
制作途中で生まれた試作を私物として使っているのですが、
気づけばかなり登場回数の多いアクセサリーになっています。

以前ご紹介した着物のコーディネート動画でも、身につけています。

The Spring Konpeito series is now available on my online shop.

The inspiration for this series came from my earlier collection, “Pastel Forest.”

Some people who saw those accessories told me,
“They’re beautiful, but I need a little courage to wear them,”
while others said,
“I’d love something a little smaller and easier to wear in everyday life.”

And honestly, they were right.
The Pastel Forest series has a strong presence, both in size and atmosphere.

That led me to start thinking about pastel-colored accessories with a quieter kind of charm.

What I wanted to preserve while creating this series was:
something not too bold,
but still carrying the unmistakable atmosphere of Yayoi Yamashita,
while also holding onto a subtle sense of retro nostalgia.

The main colors I chose were
a candy-like salmon pink
and soft aqua-blue vintage polka-dot beads.

When combined, these colors feel not only sweet,
but also gentle and elegant in a way that I really love.

From there, I layered in slightly different shades of yellow and blue,
so that even the smallest shifts in color could be enjoyed.

The actual process was incredibly delicate.
Tiny beads were woven together like little pieces of konpeito candy,
and for the earrings,
flowers were even fixed to both sides of the leaves
so they could be seen from every angle.

But more than the difficulty,
what stayed with me was the feeling of
“spring blooming open”
as each piece came together.

Creating this series itself became such a joyful experience.

Rather than being reserved only for special occasions,
I hope these accessories can be enjoyed naturally in everyday life.

Even on quiet days spent at home,
or moments when you simply want to shift your mood a little,
sometimes having a small touch of color nearby
can brighten the heart ever so slightly.

In fact, I personally wear one of the prototype pieces that was created during the process,
and before I knew it,
it had become one of the accessories I reach for most often.

I was also wearing it in the kimono styling video I shared previously.
